2- Upon arrival, they did not inform us about the facilities available including the beach. The stay at Aura was not good at all, and went wrong for many reasons: 1- After putting a note in my booking for a king sized bed, upon arrival the receptionist asked personal questions if any of our group is a couple and did not accommodate our request, even though it wasn’t their business to ask these questions. With some simple fixes the management can bring this hotel up to standard. We complained but no one came to fix the doorknob. The other room's towel racks were loose and came out, but a worker came and fixed it. It's so inconsistan that you should definitely be aware of these issues. Luckily, I had my cellular phone to call my wife to open the door from outside. Our bathroom door knob was broken from the inside. Can't they use a cart, and find a rear entrance to bring in the towels? Later, I saw them using a cart to bring in the laundry. Suddenly I noticed two sweatie workers, entering the hotel main entrance, carrying clean hotel towels and bedsheets on their shoulders. Huge towel shortage in the rooms and along the swimming pool.
Food was terrible but on the second day their chef, Hussein, made us a dinner better than any 5 stars hotel.
We complained and no one came to clean them until the second day. We reserved 4 rooms where two of them were not clean. They have the friendliest staff but many issues that would make me not to return to this location. I am being generous to give Aura hotel a 3 stars rating.
